The Mechanicsburg Girls Softball Association operates under the bylaws of the West Shore Minor Fast Pitch. The purpose of the league shall be to organize, promote, administer and operate a program for the mutual improvement of sports, particularly softball, for girls between the ages of 5 and 18 years, that will instill sportsmanship and good character through fair play and honest and clear competition. The welfare of the youths will be the main consideration in the formation of all policies, rules, regulations or decisions.
The MGSA is open to school-aged girls of all abilities. We play a spring season (March-June) and a fall season (Sept-Oct.). The only requirement is that you reside or have a child attending a public or private school (charter/cyber/home-schooled too) within the Mechanisburg Area School District.
We are a fast-pitch league but don't let that discourage you. Our 6U Instructional Division is all coach pitch/batting tee. Our 8U Division combines coach and player pitching and the opportunity to hit from a batting tee. From 10U and up, it's all player-pitch. The players will develop confidence as they advance through older division and fast-pitch will become a way of life.
We strive to keep our costs as low as possible through fund-raising and sponsorship. If your daughter wants to play, she will not be turned away. Assistance and payment options are available.
